Large aluminium sliding door study in Mandelieu-la-Napoule.

This Mandelieu-la-Napoule file covers five aluminium windows and doors in RAL 7016. Three large sliding doors, including a 6.40 m-wide three-panel composition, are studied with accessible low thresholds requested.

These are the configurations in the October 2026 quote request. Requested dimensions are not guaranteed capacities for every composition; the system, glazing and installation must be validated for this project.

The stakes of the study

What this file helps to prepare.

Assess three tall sliding doors, their clear openings, thresholds and handling arrangements within a five-unit installation.

Overall width and clear passage

The 6.40 m three-panel door and the two 3.80 m two-panel doors open differently. Comparing their clear passages helps plan movement outdoors.

Glazing selected with handling in mind

At a requested height of 2.77 m, glazing affects panel weight and delivery arrangements. Access must be assessed alongside the glazed composition.

Thresholds and locks contribute to everyday use

The file requests accessible low thresholds and a three-point lock on one large sliding door. For your project, these features are specified according to the passage used and desired locking arrangements.

01 · From choice to detail

Assess width alongside the number of panels.

The file distinguishes one three-panel door and two two-panel doors. Overall width and clear passage are different measurements: panel movement and storage must be specified with the track system.

02 · From choice to detail

Coordinate height, glazing and handling.

All three large doors have a requested height of 2 770 mm. The study must check the glass specification, weight and hardware, then plan site access and handling equipment. Glass size also affects delivery and installation.

03 · From choice to detail

Identify locking hardware.

A three-point lock is requested on only one of the three large sliding doors, with a finish matching RAL 7016. The relevant item and system compatibility must be confirmed in the final file. Fixed glazing and the smaller sliding window serve different purposes.

From the study to our Valbonne workshop

Prepare profiles for the complete glazed composition.

For large sliding doors comparable to those studied in Mandelieu, cutting lengths are defined after selecting the system and hardware. The FOM double-head saw cuts the profiles; reinforcements, glazing and accessories still need to be sized for each composition. Dimensions and composition are validated with the system, glazing and site conditions.
